Episode 2: The Birth of Greymon / Explosive Evolution! Greymon
Taichi says he sees the ocean and goes off towards it. Before the others follow, Yamato turns to Sora. In the English dub he cracks a sarcastic joke, while in the Japanese version he asks her if they should follow.
Episode 3: Garurumon / The Blue Wolf! Garurumon
Yamato swims towards the island where the others are being attacked by Seadramon.
Episode 4: Biyomon Gets Firepower / Red Hot! Birdramon
Piyomon is confused with some of the words Sora uses. The group ends up walking ahead as Sora tries to brush it off. Yamato tells them to stop fooling around, causing Sora to get defensive.
Piyomon's energetic personality annoys Sora. When she hurts Piyomon's feelings she quickly tries to make up for it, thus making Piyomon happy again. This is the first time we see Yamato smile as he watches the two's exchange.
As Meramon is rampaging through the village, everyone tries to board the ship with Piyomon at the end making sure everyone is safe. Sora realizes she's missing and rushes to get her. Taichi and Yamato notice and eagerly call her to come back.

When the team is ready for bed Sora says goodnight to the others while Yamato says goodnight to Sora. Taichi's voice overlaps Yamato, saying, "goodnight girls".
In the Japanese version, this dialogue does not happen.
Episode 26: Sora’s Crest Of Love / Radiant Wings! Garudamon
When Sora runs away from the group, it is Yamato and Taichi who immediately run after her. Taichi cuts her off, and when she attempts to run the other way, Yamato stops her.
Although Taichi means well, he is oblivious of Sora's feelings and cracks a joke. Yamato tells him to quit it.
Yamato is quiet for most of the scene, but it is clear that he is listening to what Sora has to say. He is sympathetic with her emotions, and understands what Sora needs.
At the end of the epsiode, Yamato becomes the narrator and states something interesting.
In the Japanese version when Sora explains she understands her mother's feelings, Yamato is in the background playing a cheerful tune with his harmonica. This is the only time Yamato plays a cheerful version of his harmonica theme. Although episode 26 is Sora-centered, Yamato's theme is used at the end.

Phantomon captures Yamato in his chains, and even though Sora is no match for him, she still tries to save Yamato.
Episode 37: Wizardmon’s Gift / Perfects's United Attack! Sparkling Angewomon
Hikari has been captured by Phantomon and Yamato is angry with himself for letting everyone down. Sora successfully knocks some sense into him.
It has been said that the Digimons only evolve when their partner needs help, or when they want them to. Right after Sora is almost killed by Snimon, Yamato's crest immediately glows and Garurumon evolves to Weregarurumon. Instead of Garudamon, it is Weregarurumon who battles Snimon.
Episode 45: The Ultimate Clash / The Clashing Ultimates! WarGreymon VS MetalGarurumon
When Yamato tells the group he wants to leave, Sora tries to give other options instead of letting him go by himself.
Yamato makes his decision to split with the others. Sora shows support by saying she believes in him. Particularly in the Japanese version, Sora promises to take care of Takeru in Yamato's place. Also in the Japanese Version, Yamato acknowledges Sora's help by thanking her.
Episode 47: Ogremon's Honor / Oh Wind! Oh Light! SaberLeomon
When Yamato and MetalGarurumon saves the others by killing Puppetmon, Sora runs over and acknowledges them. Yamato glances over at Sora, but then looks away before walking off and leaving again.

Whilst in the English Dub, it is evident that Taichi has a crush on Sora.

Episode 42: Digimon World Tour: Part 3 / Love and Borscht-- The Fierce Fight
Daisuke suggests it's time to head home, but Sora and Miyako protest. In the English Dub, Sora exclaims Yuri was suppose to take them out to dinner, causing Yamato to notice. In the Japanese Version, Yuri is not mentioned, but Yamato still notices Sora's eagerness to eat Russian food.
Episode 43: Invasion of the Daemon Corps / Attack of the Demon Corps
In the English Dub, Yamato gives the synopsis of what happened in the last episode. Towards the end, he says Sora and Miyako were sad to leave because Yuri was going to treat them to Russian food. He adds: "Should I be jealous?"
During the scene where the News is reporting missing elementary children, Yamato and Sora are talking to each other on the phone.
When Sora, Yamato, Hikari, and Miyako are being carried on Garudamon's hand, Yamato and Sora are together with Yamato's arm around Sora.

Jun tells Daisuke she is moving on from Yamato to Jyou's older brother, because she saw Yamato with Sora. A flashback scene shows Yamato rushing to protect Sora from falling debris.

Sora teams up with Taichi and Agumon to spy on Noriko, while Yamato and the rest are spying on the other Dark Spor children. In the English Dub, Koushiro directly asks Yamato if he trusts Sora and Taichi together, which Yamato makes clear that he does. However in the Japanese version, rather than play with Taiora possibilities, Yamato explains why Taichi is with Sora-- because he has Agumon. (Gabumon and Piyomon are not around.)
In Yamato's movie profile, it states that Sora and Yamato are boyfriend and girlfriend in the movie. One part translates to: "His band is doing well and he's now the boyfriend of the close friend Sora."

There is the photo of Yamato and Sora going around the net. In the original Japanese screenshot, the two are in front of a club, either possibly on a date at night or shopping together in the daytime.
When everyone is together (minus Sora, Mimi, and Jyou), Koushiro asks Yamato about Sora. It seems he's the only one who knows of Sora's whereabouts.
Based on this, we can assume Yamato has recently contacted Sora since he knows she's on her way.
The cover for this 02 Drama CD has Yamato with his arms around Sora. They are smiling and looking at what Yamato is pointing at.
In this Drama CD, it's Valentine's Day (two months after the defeat of MaloMyotismon) and Sora plans to buy "Honmei Choco" for Yamato. Honmei Choco is a special type of chocolate that a girl gives a boy they have romantic feelings for on Valentine's Day. It is Sora's way to profess her feelings for Yamato. But in the process, she, Hikari and Mimi are held hostage by Boltmon, a confused Digimon who only wants a heart of its own (like the Tin Man in "Wizard of Oz").

Chapter 2 | Section 2 -The Deceptive Mansion
Taichi recalls how he had no idea Yamato had a younger brother. It is hinted that Sora may have already known that Yamato and Takeru were brothers prior to their adventure in the Digital World. Although Yamato and Taichi were classmates, Taichi was not as familiar with Yamato as Sora was.
Taichi: Wait a minute. I think I once asked someone if Yamato had siblings, but they dodged the question. Was it Sora?
Chapter 3 | Section 3 - Access
Throughout the novel, both Sora and Yamato are constantly looking out for Taichi. Whenever Taichi and Augumon are in a jam, Sora and Yamato are the first to notice and come to his rescue. Even despite Taichi and Yamato having personality conflicts, Yamato willingly puts himself in danger to drag Taichi out of it. And as Taichi's best friend, Sora is the one who also tries to console Taichi when he is upset with himself.
After Taichi puts Augumon in danger by evolving him to SkullGraymon, he is less confident in himself and falls into depression for a short while. But when an opportunity arrives to go search for the mysterious Nanomon who has been contacting Koushiro through e-mail, Taichi is the first to agree to it. And to Sora's surprise, Yamato follows suit. Because Sora is aware of Yamato and Taichi's conflicting personalities, she is confused as to why Yamato would agree to such a dangerous mission. In response, Yamato tells Sora that he also wants Taichi to have more confidence in himself.
Digimon Producer Seki Hiromi confirms Sorato in the Japanese Digimon magazine called "V-Jump". In a 2002 issue, he states that Sora and Yamato are definitely married.
If we put the Season 02 character portraits in order (from Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Koushiro, etc.), Yamato and Sora are looking at each other. They are the only characters with eyes looking in opposite directions.
The final poster of Digimon Adventure 02 has Yamato with his arm around Sora
In the Tokyopop Manga version of Digimon Zero Two, Daisuke announces Sora and Yamato's marriage in the epilogue.

The cover for this 02 Drama CD has Yamato with his arms around Sora. They are smiling and looking at what Yamato is pointing at. In this Drama CD, it's Valentine's Day (two months after the defeat of MaloMyotismon) and Sora plans to buy "Honmei Choco" for Yamato. Honmei Choco is a special type of chocolate that a girl gives a boy they have romantic feelings for on Valentine's Day. It is Sora's way to profess her feelings for Yamato. But in the process, she, Hikari and Mimi are held hostage by Boltmon, a confused Digimon who only wants a heart of its own (like the Tin Man in "Wizard of Oz"). Although I have yet to find a decent translation of the Drama, this is what I found:
Sora explains she still has shopping to do, in which Piyomon ends up reveling Sora wants to buy Honmei Choco. This causes the other girls to gossip about Sora and Yamato's relationship. Sora is oblivious of this as she continues to look around and talk while everyone else is too busy gossiping lol.

To openly express romantic love is rare in the Japanese culture, so this may be the cause for why Sora is confused and freaking out lol... It's quite an amusing clip xD.

All grown up, Sora becomes a famous fashion designer and Yamato is an astronaut. They are married with two children-- one girl with Yamato's blond hair and one younger boy with Sora's red hair.

Chapter 2 | Section 2 -The Deceptive Mansion
Taichi recalls how he had no idea Yamato had a younger brother. It is hinted that Sora may have already known that Yamato and Takeru were brothers prior to their adventure in the Digital World. Although Yamato and Taichi were classmates, Taichi was not as familiar with Yamato as Sora was.
Taichi: Wait a minute. I think I once asked someone if Yamato had siblings, but they dodged the question. Was it Sora?
Chapter 3 | Section 3 - Access
Throughout the novel, both Sora and Yamato are constantly looking out for Taichi. Whenever Taichi and Augumon are in a jam, Sora and Yamato are the first to notice and come to his rescue. Even despite Taichi and Yamato having personality conflicts, Yamato willingly puts himself in danger to drag Taichi out of it. And as Taichi's best friend, Sora is the one who also tries to console Taichi when he is upset with himself.
After Taichi puts Augumon in danger by evolving him to SkullGraymon, he is less confident in himself and falls into depression for a short while. But when an opportunity arrives to go search for the mysterious Nanomon who has been contacting Koushiro through e-mail, Taichi is the first to agree to it. And to Sora's surprise, Yamato follows suit. Because Sora is aware of Yamato and Taichi's conflicting personalities, she is confused as to why Yamato would agree to such a dangerous mission. In response, Yamato tells Sora that he also wants Taichi to have more confidence in himself.
Later on, Sora’s curiosity got the better of her and she asked Yamato, “Why did you agree?”
“Taichi’s showing some motivation at last. I just couldn’t shoot that down,” Yamato replied with a whisper. It appeared that even Yamato wanted Taichi to return to his old self.

Digimon Producer Seki Hiromi confirms Sorato in the Japanese Digimon magazine called "V-Jump". In a 2002 issue, he states that Sora and Yamato are definitely married. If we put the Season 02 character portraits in order (from Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Koushiro, etc.), Yamato and Sora are looking at each other. They are the only characters with eyes looking in opposite directions. The final poster of Digimon Adventure 02 has Yamato with his arm around Sora In the Tokyopop Manga version of Digimon Zero Two, Daisuke announces Sora and Yamato's marriage in the epilogue. In "Digimon Adventure Character File" (the official Japanese Character Book), Yamato and Gabumon mention Sora and their children. Gabumon: We've gotta go back to Earth first! It's your kids' first day of school, isn't it?
Yamato: Oh! You're right! If I'm late, Sora'll be mad at me. We've gotta hurry!
